Official Contest Rules
Effective: 2026-11-04.1. These Rules form part of the Agreement. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO PLAY PRACTICE ROUNDS. Cash matches require an entry fee.
General
1. All cash matches are games of skill. Every competitor in a match plays the identical seeded round: the same rocks, values, timing, entry points and power-ups.
2. A round continues until the player's cannon is destroyed. Score is earned by reducing rock values with shots and by clearing rocks. Difficulty increases with score for every player equally.
3. The official score is the score produced when our server replays the player's recorded inputs. The score displayed on the device is provisional.
4. Scores of other competitors are hidden until all required scores are in.
5. Entry fees are moved to escrow at entry and are not refundable except as stated in these Rules or the Terms.
Head-to-Head (1 v 1)
- Two players. Entry fee is as displayed. The pot is twice the entry fee; the service fee is the lesser of 25% of the pot or $10, and the remainder is paid as the prize to the higher official score. The exact prize is shown before you enter.
- A player who enters is paired with the oldest waiting player at that stake, preferring the closest skill rating. The second player receives the same seed.
- If the second player does not arrive within 24 hours the match expires and the entry fee is returned in full.
- Cancelling. Before you play your round, and while no opponent has joined, you may cancel a match. The service fee for that match (the lesser of 25% of the pot or $10, shown before you enter) is retained; the remainder of your entry fee is returned. Once you have played your round or an opponent has joined, a match cannot be cancelled; if no opponent joins within 24 hours, your full entry fee is refunded automatically.
- Ties. Matches are decided on the official result for the mode: highest score in Score mode, longest time alive in Survival. If both players post the same score, the player who reached it in less time wins. If both players post the same time alive in Survival, the player with the higher score wins. Only if score and time are both identical are the entry fees returned.
Tournaments
- Fixed fields of 4, 8 or 16 players at the displayed entry fee. All players receive the same seed.
- The service fee is the lesser of 18.75% of the pot or $10. The remainder of the pot is paid to the top places in fixed proportions (for example 3 : 2 : 1 : 0.5 across places 1–4 in an 8-player tournament). Exact prizes are shown before entry.
- A tournament that does not fill within 24 hours expires and entry fees are returned. A tournament that fills but has unplayed rounds after 24 hours is settled using a score of zero for unplayed rounds.
- Ties are broken first by the mode's secondary measure (less time for an equal score; higher score for an equal time alive), then by earlier submission time.
Beat Yourself
- Single-player stake against a "target" derived from your own verified play. The mode unlocks after five verified 1v1 or tournament rounds. The target is the higher of (a) your best official score in any cash mode and (b) a platform floor equal to the median verified score of the last 30 days (never below 100). Practice scores do not count.
- For every point your official score exceeds the target you are paid 1% of your buy-in. The maximum payout is 2.5× the buy-in for your first winning round in a rolling 7-day period, 1.5× for the second and 1.0× thereafter. Net Beat Yourself winnings are capped at $150 per rolling 7 days. A score at or below the target forfeits the buy-in.
- A winning score becomes your new target. Deliberately underperforming in any mode to influence a target is prohibited and may result in voided results and account closure.
Free Play Credits, XP and Tiers
- Free play credits are promotional credits we add to your account when your count of settled cash rounds (1 v 1, tournament or Beat Yourself) reaches a milestone: $1 at 1 round, $3 at 3, $5 at 10, $10 at 25, $15 at 50, $25 at 100, $35 at 200, $50 at 400, $75 at 600 and $100 at 1,000 rounds. Practice rounds, expired matches and rounds voided for any reason do not count.
- Free play credits may be used only as entry fees on the Platform and are applied before cash on every entry. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, transferred or redeemed, and are forfeited if your account is closed for a breach of the Agreement. Prizes won in rounds entered with free play credits are ordinary cash and may be withdrawn in accordance with the Terms.
- If an entry funded wholly or partly with free play credits is refunded (tie, expiry), the free play portion is returned as free play and the cash portion as cash.
- XP is a non-monetary progression score: every settled cash round earns 5 XP, and a win earns 15 XP instead. XP never decreases, has no cash value and does not affect matchmaking, pairing or prizes. Tiers are assigned by XP: Iron (0–100), Cobalt (101–250), Plasma (251–500), Meteorite (501–799), Stardust Gold (800–1,200), Nebula Crystal (1,201–1,750), Dark Matter (1,751–2,500) and Antimatter (2,501+). Tier rankings order players by XP, then win-loss record.
- Daily Reward. Once per day (resetting at midnight UTC) you may drop one coin on the Daily Reward board. The pocket it lands in awards either free play credits ($1 or $5, under the free play terms above) or a deposit match of 10%, 25% or 50%. A deposit match is paid as free play credits equal to that percentage of your next completed deposit (up to $100 of free play), provided the deposit completes within 12 hours of the claim; otherwise it lapses. Only one deposit match can be held at a time; a newer one replaces an unused one. Each bounce is decided by our server; the drop point only nudges the odds. The Daily Reward never affects gameplay: head-to-head and tournament rounds are always played on identical terms. The Daily Reward is promotional and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
- Stake limits by tier. To keep stakes in step with experience, the highest 1 v 1 and tournament entry fee available depends on your tier: Iron up to $20, Cobalt up to $50, Plasma up to $100, Meteorite up to $250, Stardust Gold up to $500, Nebula Crystal and Dark Matter up to $1,000, and Antimatter all stakes. The $1,500, $2,500 and $5,000 high-roller tables are 1 v 1 only and open exclusively to Antimatter players; tournaments go up to $1,000. Locked stakes are shown in the lobby with the tier that unlocks them. Beat Yourself has its own unlock rule above.
- We may change, suspend or end the free play and tier programs at any time; credits already awarded remain usable for 90 days after any such change.
Conduct
Automation, modified clients, collusion, multiple accounts, location spoofing and input tampering are prohibited and will void results. We may require identity and location verification before paying any prize.
